The Volkswagen DataPlug transmits vehicle data in real time to a smartphone connected via Bluetooth. In combination with the Volkswagen Connect / ConnectedVan app on the smartphone, a wide range of data can be evaluated and displayed. For this purpose, the 16-pin connector is connected to the vehicle's ODB-2 interface and does not require a separate power supply. In this way, the vehicle driver is always precisely informed about the vehicle's status. Compatible apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
