The Volkswagen DataPlug transmits vehicle data in real time to a smartphone connected via Bluetooth. In combination with the Volkswagen Connect / ConnectedVan app on the smartphone, a wide range of data can be evaluated and displayed. For this purpose, the 16-pin connector is connected to the vehicle's ODB-2 interface and does not require a separate power supply. In this way, the vehicle driver is always precisely informed about the vehicle's status. Compatible apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play. Available apps include Volkswagen Connect / ConnectedVan.
